Manually Installing the Libronix File

Problem: "I've installed Libronix, but I can't find the icon in my Applications folder."

We're still unsure why, but some Macs seem to have trouble installing the Libronix file. This article will describe the process of installing that file manually. If you haven't already, please be sure to download the latest installer first.

(Please Note, we'll be using the Right-Click function in this article. If your Mac does not have a 2 Button Mouse, you can hold the Ctrl Key+Click to perform the same function)

First, open the installer by clicking on the icon on your desktop. The installer window will open. Right-Click on the disk icon, "Install Libronix DLS.mpkg." Choose Show Package Contents from the menu.

Now navigate in to the Contents/Packages folder and Right-Click on "libronixDls.pkg" and again choose Show Package Contents from the menu.

In the window that opens, open the Contents folder and locate "Archive.pax.gz." Open it. The file, "Libronix" will be downloaded to your regular Downloads folder.

Go to Finder and open your Downloads folder. Locate the Libronix file and drag it to the Applications folder.

That's it. Open Applications and you'll find your Libronix DLS icon. You can open it there, or you can drag it to your Dock if that's more convenient. Double-Click it and Libronix DLS should open.
